The TGL Technical team supports our OE matching quality clutch and transmission component range with expert guidance on product development, quality assurance, as well as customer & supplier support. Working closely between Product Engineering and Product Management, the Technical team ensures components meet demanding performance and compliance requirements, while providing first-class technical assistance throughout the product lifecycle.

Each and every TGL clutch and components is manufactured to PSW standards (Part Submission Warrant) using PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) minimum level 3 requirements

This stringent approval criteria is compulsory when supplying tier-one automotive manufacturers.

Product Approval

The Tibbetts Group’s mission statement includes reference to value-added engineering products, and it is the value-added engineering which lies in the heart of every process within the group. This is represented at both supplier and customer levels. All products are manufactured to stringent engineering specifications, set out by group quality standards or customer specific requirements.  The engineering function within the group performs in 3 key areas:

• Product Approval – all products are tested and verified against the required specification and/or technical drawing
• Product Assurance – allowing all mass production to be controlled to the set approved specifications and inspected on site
• Product Guarantee – giving customers confidence and aftersales service
