TGL Engineers are Obsessed With Detail

1982 – John Tibbetts (Europarts) Ltd

In 1982, John Tibbetts (the Chairman) founded Europarts supplying the market with a range of bearings, shortly followed with the introduction of clutch components and brake calipers to the UK automotive industry.

1984 – EuroQuip Automotive Ltd

In 1984, Trisha Tibbetts founded EuroQuip Automotive and supplied Original Equipment Clutches to the Automotive sector and components such as release bearings, hydraulic actuators and friction material to the remanufacturing sector.  The business soon evolved as customer requirements changed and EuroQuip started to distribute 3-in-1 clutch kits throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

2005 – Tibbetts Group Ltd

In 2005, Europarts and EuroQuip Automotive merged and Tibbetts Group Ltd was created.  A gap in the market for an Original Equipment clutch kit at a competitive price was identified and RYMEC was launched. Later this year, Tibbetts Group acquired Clutch Master to further enhance the product offer of clutch components and break in the specialised Commercial Vehicle market.

2008 – Tibbetts Group moved to new premises in Banbury

As the company grew, the Tibbetts Group employed more people at its new headquarters.

2017 – Moved into Tibbetts House current head office

The move into Tibbetts House transformed the way TGL operated. This dedicated facility boasts over 15,000 sqm of warehouse including engineering and testing centre, but also accommodates product management, operations, procurement, sales and marketing, finance and HR. All aspects of the business under one roof.
